Dr. Lata Bajpai Singh delivered the welcome address and introduced the purpose and structure of the event.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Raj Kumar Mittal, while addressing the audience, stated that India’s progress in the present era is possible only when the youth engage in business and entrepreneurship to create new opportunities, as it is the need of the hour. He emphasized that before starting any business, young people must overcome the fear of failure. According to him, hard work, determination, leadership qualities, the ability to identify opportunities, and discipline are the key traits that lead an entrepreneur toward success. He clarified that caste, income, social pressure, or academic degrees do not pose real obstacles in starting a business. Instead, true passion, a positive outlook, and persistent effort are the real keys to success. He encouraged the students of BBAU to set a target of building a “one-crore business within a year” under the One District One Product (ODOP) initiative and to take bold steps in the field of entrepreneurship. He assured the students that the university would provide full support at every step—be it training, resources, or guidance. Prof. Mittal added that the future belongs to those young people who have the courage to combine innovation, confidence, and hard work to fulfill their dreams. If students move toward business and start-up culture from today, not only will their future be bright, but the nation will also become economically stronger and enhance its global standing.

Dr. Kamini Singh, Director of Doctor Moringa Private Limited, spoke about her organization, sharing that it plays a significant role in providing employment to rural women, who prepare agricultural products and skillfully deliver them to the markets with dedication. She explained that women entrepreneurship is not only a means of economic empowerment but is also essential for holistic social development, as it enhances self-reliance, decision-making ability, and leadership qualities among women. When women receive resources, training, and opportunities, they not only improve their own economic condition but also contribute to the progress of the entire community. With this vision, her organization is striving to help more rural women improve their livelihoods through entrepreneurship and self-employment, and to establish the identity of local products in national and international markets.

Meenu Tyagi, Secretary of Sabla NGO, shared that her organization works with women, adolescent girls, and young boys from rural and marginalized communities. They aim to connect them with the professional world by providing training in various skills, enabling them to become self-reliant and contribute significantly to the development of their families and society. In her inspiring words, she said that whenever you start something new and shine like a firefly, many will be influenced by your light, some will encourage you, while others may criticize. But the courage to move forward despite all these factors is the greatest key to success. She believes that by staying focused on one’s goals, learning continuously, and maintaining self-confidence, individuals can overcome all obstacles. Her organization is committed to helping rural women and youth recognize their capabilities, refine them, and move forward to realize their dreams.

Prof. Amit Kumar Singh stated that the beginning of any business does not lie merely in an idea, it starts with self-awareness. He remarked that when individuals understand themselves, their abilities, and their inner potential, only then does the true journey of entrepreneurship begin. Self-awareness is the first step that not only provides direction but also gives strength to move forward during challenging circumstances.

On this occasion, participants from various reputed academic institutions presented their research papers both in online and offline modes—on sub-themes related to women entrepreneurship. The Vice-Chancellor and other guests felicitated the winners of the Business Plan Competition with certificates of appreciation. At the end, the organizing committee presented mementos and shawls to the guests as a token of gratitude. Dr. Krishna Murari delivered the vote of thanks.

Dr. Taruna, Dr. Salil Seth, other faculty members, research scholars, and students were present during the entire program.
